An interview with Tamara Hill Norton
I am so excited that I got to interview one of my favourite health pioneers, Tamara, the founder of Sweaty Betty. Tamara is the perfect person to feature in our I am healthy series. I worked for Sweaty Betty for a few years and I loved every single second of it. They embody not only a family brand but one that is progressive, supportive and inspiring. At the head of the company are Simon and Tamara who are healthy couple personified. They organise company yoga, run along beaches at the weekend children in tow and then do a triathlon to round things off. They work tirelessly to keep pushing the boundaries of women in sport. To create a brand that supports female athletes and promotes health and fitness on every level. Tamara took time out of her day to answer a few quick questions….
What does healthy mean to you?
Being fit and eating well
What three things are always in your fridge?
Coconut water, eggs, almond milk
What is your ‘go to’ meal?
Toasted Rye bread, chopped avocado, chopped tomatoes and poached egg with lemon juice and chilli oil
What are your healthy London spots?
Retreat cafe next to Triyoga in Soho. Barrecore Chiswick. Psycle Mortimer St (I love this place too!!!!). The outdoor pool at the park club in Acton. Roots and bulbs on Marylebone high St for cold pressed juices (and their banana cake I would like to add) and the Natural kitchen there too
If you could convince 10 people to change one things what would it be?
Make time to be more active
I am healthy because.…it makes me feel good about myself
Thank you so much Tamara! Psycle followed by Roots and Bulbs is my favourite Sunday morning treat and your go to meal is on my weekend list now too! What healthy places do you love in London?
